Background
Creativedge was launched as a new business line at Modern Litho, focused on elevating customer education and support. The idea was to offer structured, certified training in Adobe software, starting with InDesign, and eventually expanding into the full Creative Suite.
Designed for creative professionals of all skill levels, Creativedge provided hands-on classes taught by Adobe Certified Experts (ACE), both in-person and through a virtual classroom.
The platform offered a full curriculum with clear course descriptions, objectives, and materials aligned with Adobe’s official training standards. The ultimate goal? Help clients become more confident with Adobe tools, improve workflow efficiency, and, in turn, produce cleaner, print-ready files for Modern Litho.
From branding and curriculum design to promotional materials and digital assets, this project required a thoughtful, cohesive creative strategy to launch the new business line with clarity and impact.
Extending the Brand: Basecamp & Summit
As part of the Creativedge program, we developed two distinct course levels: InDesign Basecamp and InDesign Summit. Each had its own sub-brand with a unique logo that tied back to the main Creativedge identity.
Building on the brand’s "edge" theme, we leaned into a mountain climbing metaphor—Basecamp representing the starting point for beginners, and Summit representing the advanced level. It was a natural fit: just like in climbing, mastering Adobe tools takes preparation, skill, and the right support system.
These sub-brands helped reinforce the idea that getting professional training gives you a competitive edge—and sets you up to climb higher in your creative career. The visuals carried that same energy, creating a cohesive, motivating system that worked across workbooks, presentations, and digital materials.
Branding the Creativedge Identity
As the senior designer on the project, I led the creative direction and visual development for the Creativedge brand. From day one, my role was to shape how this new business line would be experienced by clients across a range of industries.
The goal was to create a brand that felt both professional and approachable, grounded in Modern Litho’s reputation for quality, but with a fresh energy that would appeal to designers and marketing professionals looking to sharpen their Adobe skills.
I developed the overall visual strategy, including logo design, color palette, typography, and supporting graphics. Each element was built to support the core mission of Creativedge: to empower creatives through structured, real-world training. The visual identity needed to be flexible enough to live across a range of materials—from curriculum workbooks and digital resources to event signage and promotional content—while staying consistent and recognizable.
