Project Overview
Jr’s is a quick-serve diner serving up classic comfort food like burgers, fries, and pizzas with a fun, casual twist. When they were just getting started, I had the opportunity to help shape the visual identity from the ground up.
My Role
I led the creative development for the brand, designing the logo, menu boards, packaging, and reward cards. The goal was to create a look that felt approachable and family-friendly, but still clean and modern enough to feel fresh.
Design Approach
The brand’s visual style draws from nostalgic diner vibes—bold typography, red-and-blue color palette, and playful design elements—anchored by a checkered pattern that nods to classic diner tablecloths and pizza parlor floors.
The logo features strong, custom letterforms that feel energetic and full of personality, just like the food.
The menus use bright colors and a modular layout to keep things easy to read and visually fun, whether in-store or to-go.
The loyalty card features playful messaging and encourages return visits with a classic “buy 10, get 1 free” offer.
The pizza box continues the checkered pattern and messaging that ties everything together visually.
Result
The brand has helped Jr’s stand out in a crowded market by offering a consistent, upbeat, and memorable identity—one that reflects the heart of the diner: great food, no fuss, and a little fun on the side.
